Children sent to Australia were probably the worst off: kept in what amounted to forced labour camps run by pedophiles. In Canada, it was the luck of the dice: each child sent to a different farmer. Some were kind, some indifferent to a child's unique emotional needs, others downright abusive and a few dangerous sociopaths. But for all of them, there was a constant: a childhood stripped of play and companionship and love, leaving an emotional void that would last a lifetime. The BHC...Thank you for putting an alternative view. The BHC in my family were the subject of court proceedings, which mean that I've been able to get the full story from the Canadian organisation. It's a very sad story - but perhaps the saddest part is that I've calculated that there were perhaps 10 families in a square mile radius of those 5 children who were directly related to them, and yet they all failed to intervene while their father descended into alcoholism after the death in childbirth of his wife. Given that, there is no doubt that Canada was the best place for those children.Chris Pamplinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05243641040855563827noreply@blogger.com
