Now I know I said that I was done with Sidcup for a while but my old friend Jean Gammon was sor inspired by those recent pictures of the High street in the 1960s that she went out and recorded the same locations today.
Of course for many Sidcup will be a regular haunt but for others the High Street, the the parish church and much else will be a distant memory.
So for those as well as for me here in classic then and now are two pictures of the High Street separated by 54 years.
And your starter for ten if you wish to take part will be to record as many of the differences as you can.
There are no prizes of course just the fun of taking part and demonstrating your knowledge.
Jean has kindly started everyone off with the comment that, “Sidcup High Street has changed a lot since 1961.
Now, like so many other High Streets, it's street scene is one dominated by charity shops, cafes and banks.”
