I will be going to The Magic Garden exhibition down at the Parsonage which runs till Sunday March 15.
It features the paintings of Liz Scantlebury* who told me that “a lot of my art is of Didsbury scenes” and looking at her facebook site they are a rich and varied record of the plant and animal life that abound in the area.**
And for me who has long had a fascination for the history of south Manchester they offer up glimpses of what was all too familiar to our grandparents and great grandparents.
