It is not too late to enjoy some history at the Post Box Cafe through February and in to March.
And depending on what you like there should be something for everyone.
We start with The Flying man and Mrs Martha Meredith, which explores how Peter Topping and I wrote a new book on Didsbury’s past and on the way explores the lives of some of the people who lived there.
Later in the month there is the chance to walk around New Chorlton from the cafe to the library and back again picking out the odd, the mysterious and the banal, with the promise of a cake or cup of soup at the end.
And lastly I shall be telling some dark stories to entertain you at the History Dinner followed by a chance to ask questions about our township’s past.
Nor is that all for accompanying us at least for one event will be Mike Billington back by popular demand to play the music beloved by great grandma and offer up some of of those playground songs..
