Now this is a scene which will now have passed into history.
It was taken by Julian Beach who comments “following your blog post earlier this week about documenting the passing of local landmarks, I thought you might like this photo of St Peters Square I took last night.
It might be the last view you get of the old tram stop, as it is disappearing fast.”
And I bet by the time this is read by people all that platform furniture will have gone and soon so will the platforms which have stood in this bit of the square since 1992.
In two months time or perhaps less the new metro stop will be opened just a tad further up towards Princess Street and the next stage of the Second City Crossing will be in place.
Of course in the meantime its bit of bind but I guess we will have forgotten that soon enough.
All of which just leaves me to thank Julian for adding another lost landmark to the blog.
