Darley Avenue update

Now there will be a lot of people with memories of the secondary schools that stood on Darley Avenue.

And Andy Robertson has been carefully recording the site from when the builders first turned the soil to the point this week when the first houses seem almost finished.

The collection will be one of those unique records of changing Chorlton.

Down in Darley Avenue ......... part 3

Now one of Andy Robertson’s projects in recording changing Chorlton is Darley Avenue.

He began Taking picture of the site of the old school soon after the builders broke the ground for the new estate and he has been going back regularly.

So here is one of the next in the story.

The buildings are up awaiting and awaiting a roof and then once the places are weather proof the business of fitting them out can begin.

Following the progress down at Darley Avenue

Down for everyone with fond memories of school days down at Darley Avenue, here is the continuing story of the redevelopment of the old secondary school site.

Andy Robertson was down there recently adding to his collection of images of how the place is changing.

As I have said many times before his will be a rare record of just how much Chorlton has changed in the last few decades.
