Was our go to store
For all things from plants, to DIY and much more.
But then I also remember you as The Hard Rock.
Heaps of music legends performed
In your ample space that would one day
Be occupied by drills, and rotating screw heads.
The list of your glam performers
Is a walk through my musical heroes,
From Ike & Tina Turner,
To Roxy Music, Roy Woods Wizard,
And Emerson Lake and Palmer,
And of course, David Bowie
Not that we ever went
But only observed your multi coloured pylon
As we passed on the train.
And now you have gone,
But at least we have Andy Robertson's pictures
Who captured your last days.
