The way we were..........Moss Side in the early 1950s

Now I like collecting and sharing family snaps which are often one of the most revealing ways we can find out about the past.

And so here over the next few weeks are some from the collection of Ken Fish.

They will include pictures of family and friends preparing to go leave for the seaside in the 1920s and 30s and some unique photographs of shows at the old Hulme Hippodrome.

There won’t be much in the way of text, instead I shall let the image do the talking.

This is one of my favourites showing Ken’s sister and two friends in Moss Side in the early 1950s.
