We are on South Drive in the spring of 1914 sometime in the morning.
This is still the time when even relatively humble families might expect the local shopkeeper to deliver, and so here is the delivery boy.
Unlike some of the tradesmen in the ‘ville who might be seen with their horse and cart, this lad has only a hand cart.
And judging by the empty basket has pretty much finished for the day.
