The outrageous piece of commercial self-promotion ……..

Now it is the picture which tells a story.

Eddy Hughes doing something in Chorlton, 2022

And the story comes from the recent book launch of Martledge Lost and Found in the series nothing to do in chorlton, by me and Peter Topping.

Each book is predicated on the idea of doing nothing in chorlton, and offers six sites where the reader can sit and uncover the stories of the surrounding area while doing nothing..

Doing something by buying the book, 2022
The books are slim and small enough to fit in the back pocket or in a handbag and are designed to be carried with you on the walk.*

Martledge is book number two, and was published in July.

Our earlier volume covered Chorlton Green, Chorltonville and the Meadows, and book three due out in October and focuses on Beech Road and the search for Chorlton Row.

The book, nothing to do in chorlton, Martlege Lost and Found by Andrew Simpson & Peter Topping, costs £5, is available from Chorlton Bookshop or us at  www.pubbooks.co.uk
