Today we remember the end of the Great War and with services and events across the country and beyond, while remembering all those who participated in that conflict and all the others since 1918.
So with that in mind I am returning to the exhibition in Central Ref which has been running since September.
It is the work of David Harrop from whose vast collection these items are taken.
They range from letters, picture postcards, photographs, and medals as long with official correspondence
and records.
Each week for the last month and a bit I have been featuring particular elements of the display.
This is Cabinet 4 which David says, “includes several postcards and autograph books relating to the many auxiliary hospitals both local and country wide, plus the centre commemoration of a young lad Pte. Shepherd who was lost at Gallipoli and a rare letter about the demise of a Royal Flying Corp pilot”.
Location; Manchester
Pictures; from the collection of David Harrop.
In Flanders Fields runs till the end of November
