Now I have become fixated with some of the more drab and dismal buildings in Salford, so here as a refreshing contrast and back again for another appearance is the bright, new Lowry Theatre.
I can’t remember exactly when I took the picture but it will be a decade ago and may well have been when our Josh was rehearsing for a youth production and I was waiting to meet up with him.
And I know some will go sniffy and dismiss it as another arty glass reflected image which it is but I like it and of course it is a fine contrast to those pictures of pubs which have “seen better days and done better things.”
Location, outside the Lowry Theatre, Salford
Picture; the Lowry, circa 2006, from the collection of Andrew Simpson
