Now every township should have its own film so here is ours.
Century Films are currently researching a potential third series of the award-winning BBC Two documentary: THE SECRET HISTORY OF OUR STREETS' SERIES 3: MANCHESTER
Nicola Harris, Assistant Producer, Century Films writes,
"The Secret History of Our Streets". In 2012, the first series focused on telling the history of six archetypal London streets and the stories were told by the people who had lived and worked on them for centuries.
In 2014, we made a second series in Scotland, and we spoke to both former and present residents to trace the history of the area over the last 200 years.

We are currently developing a third series exploring the North of England, and we are interested in looking at the Manchester area as a focus point for one of the episodes.
At the moment, we are especially interested in looking at Beech Road, Chorlton and the surrounding roads.
I would like to speak to both past and present residents of these streets to find out more the history of your community, and to find out what stories you can tell me.
The types of questions I'm keen to ask are things like: How long have you lived in the house? Do you know anything about the history of your street? What do you know about the people who lived in your house before you, and before them? And so on.
At this stage, any conversation I have is purely for our initial research and there’s no obligation to appear on television.
However, further down the line we would like to interview residents. It goes without saying everything we talk about will be treated in the strictest confidence, and it will not be passed on to anyone outside our team.
I hope you’ll consider taking part in what is going to be a very exciting project. You can email me at nicola.harris@centuryfilmsltd.com or give me a call or text on 07597 692423.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks,
Nicola Harris
