Depending on where you grew up, the passage behind your terraced house may have had different names.
What ever it was, the chances are it was, a “safe place to play”, a meeting venue, or just somewhere which offered up a photo opportunity.
I have no idea where this was, or who took the picture and can only give you the date 1960.
That said it will be another that brings back memories.
