Now I make no claim for the historical value of this two picture taken on Wilbraham Road.
But it is, to use that phrase, a moment in time.I welcomed the appearance of a Launderette again in Chorlton, rejoicing that our duvets no longer had to make the long journey to Stretford.
The bakery replaced a branch of Greggs, which was always the place to go for a cheese and onion pasty or the veg alternative.
The shop closed suddenly, stayed empty for a while before becoming the Launderette, but in just a short while the Launderette also ceased trading.
The newspapers over the windows were the giveaway, but I hoped it was just a temporary closure while the interior was refurbished.
