Taking the advice of the Emperor ..............

Now the project is simple, take a modern image of a building we all love and turn it into the style of poster which was popular in the middle decades of the last century.*

Well in this case, it's a statue, courtesy of The Emperor Augustus and the Imperial Tourist Office of Rome, 1 Colosseum Way.

And it is based on an original photograph I took in Rome back in 2008.

To which Peter added the copy and transformed it into what you see.

Inspired no doubt by the wet weather we have had recently which contrasts with the very hot temperatures in Rome.

Location; your choice

Poster; ROME AROUND RAINY BRITANNIA, created by Peter Topping  from an original photograph, The emperor Augustus, 2008, from the collection of Andrew Simpson
