More history from Chorlton’s History Group

Honouring four Chorlton veterans
"We had a very successful tribute to  Chorlton Good Neighbours World War 2 veterans in February at which over 90 people attended.

In the March meeting of the History group, Eddie Little will be giving a talk on the  'The First Flight to Ireland' by a North West aviator.
Eddie will also sell a booklet on the subject with  proceeds going to Francis House Hospice.

Looking further ahead to the History Group meeting on Thurs April 4th 2013 at 1.30pm,  Janet Bradshaw, who is an historical interpreter at Tatton Park will give a talk entitled: “9 Lives: the story of Tatton Park from Saxon time to World War 2”. This  talk will be enlivened by several  costume changes to give a different slant on the history of this stately home
