I owned a building in the corner of Little Lever Street and Stevenson Square. t was built by the owner of a cotton mill in Eccles for his illegitimate son. On the other side of Little Lever Street on Stevenson Square was Stevenson House that had grazing rights for sheep from the Square to Piccadilly. Originally on the opposite side of the Square stood a church.
Hi David, do you mean the old Habib Bank? If so, I think it used to be Taylor Mills and later became the Grotto cafe. If you have any other info about the history of this building I would be extremely grateful :-)
