A little bit of gentle fun at the seaside in the 1930s ............. no 13 "Spent up in Rhyl”

A short series reflecting on a bit of gentle fun from the seaside.

Now when the children were young there was always that debate about where to take them on holiday.

To stay in Britain avoided those awful delays at the airport but there was no guarantee of ten days of sun and warm water and to be honest it was always cheaper to take the package trip to Greece.

And over 80 years ago there were some who agreed on the cost of a seaside stay.
