Yes this much sought after souvenir of a bit of our history is free when you join us to discover who you would have had to be polite to in the summer of 1848 along with a few murky stories, some vanished buildings and Mr. Gratrix's pipe.
It's a gentle stroll along Beech Road and down to the village Green and finishing at the Edge.This is one of the events sponsored by Manchester Libraries during Chorlton Book Festival. *
Assemble at the corner of Beech Road and Barlow Moor Road at 2pm on Sunday September 22nd.
The walk will conclude after much history and a degree of fun at the Edge for refreshments.
Tickets are £8.50 include tea and cakes at the Edge Theatre cafe afterwards.
