Saturday August 16th in a railway station

I like railway stations, only bettered by an airport.

10.45 AM and home from the West Country, 2025
It’s that mix of purpose, expectation for those leaving the city, and happiness at coming home.

But unlike a railway station, there is no border control, no losing your luggage to a destination halfway round the world and fewer delays.

Added to which you are more likely to get to seat down.

So, on Saturday while on an adventure I passed through Manchester Piccadilly.

It was busy, interesting and fulfilled that bit about purpose, expectation for those leaving the city,  happiness.

Destinations ... destinations, 2025
