Now I say old Chorlton but there will be some who mutter
that the former Blockbuster’s store was not that old.
And indeed it wasn’t, but it sat in a building which had a
diverse retail history and for most of its existence was home to a printing business.
Nor is that all, because it seems to have begun as the “Market
Place”, but just what that was, is as yet unknown.
Still in the fullness of time all will be revealed.

So for now the story is really one of those then and now
posts, and there is nothing wrong in that.

if that is where I think it is that land used to be a cinema across the road from Chorlton palace dance hall, tthink it was restored after the war and I remember going to see a film there around 1958?
