Ideally it should be sometime in the 1950s or earlier, and I if I really wanted to push the boat out perhaps sometime before Mauldeth Road West was cut which would take us back beyond the mid 1920s.
The old lane which ran from Hough End Hall through what is now the park joined Barlow Moor Road a little further south, leaving an observer a view of fields and away in the distance the Hall, Brookfield House and a pond.
