Now I am fascinated by those small bits of buildings which most of us don’t give a second glance to.
And so is Andy who took this picture in Back Piccadilly yesterday.
I like the degree of detail and care that has gone into this very functional bit of the building.
Cynics will mutter that such iron railings were mass produced and could be picked up in foundries across the country.
All of which may be true, but compared to their modern counterpart these have style and elegance and deserve a bit of recognition.
