It might be an exaggeration to say that all life is there on Market Street on a Saturday morning, but the place does throw up endless opportunities for people watching.
They range from the street traders, selling everything from candy floss to phone holders, and balloons that glow in the dark, to buskers and those offering politics and religion in equal numbers.
And amongst all the buzz, some just take advantage of those benches to watch what is going on.
So, here with a five year interval are those benches which face each other with just a variation on on who was seating down and which group was offering up a slice of a better life.
