The lesson is that simple one ………… never leave going back to a place you love for too long.
Castlefield was and is one of my favourite locations.
It has the history, the museum, more than a few canals, and some pretty stunning industrial archecture.
And over the years I have wandered around taking pictures and for three decades ran historical and educational tours.
But it has been a few years since I last got down to the bottom of Liverpool Road where it joins Water Street, and clearly it is time I went back, judging by Andy Robertson latest pictures taken yesterday.
Like, almost everywhere across the city, the onward march of the cranes and rise of new developments is changing the landscape.
So from the familiar to the new, courtesy of Andy’s latest adventure.
Location; around Castlefield
Pictures, the old and new,2020 from the collection of Andy Robertson
