Now unless you know Sale Moor very well, the chances are you will have missed this building.
Not that Andy Robertson did, on a brief foray there before the storms of yesterday, he took a series of pictures of this and other delights.
And I must confess, as someone who rarely visits the place, this one was a pleasant surprise.
Andy tells me, "I stumbled across Walkden Gardens (Marsland Road/Debyshire Road), and noticed this structure.
It is the dovecote which was once in the grounds of Sale Old Hall. it was dismantled and moved when the motorway was being built”.
So there you are ……. more to follow.
And in the meantime, someone will come up with a bit pf the history of Sale Old Hall.
