Hospitality in a time of lock down ... at the Lead

There are many ways of keeping your customers happy during the present lockdown

On Saturday, the Café on the Green was offering mulled wine to passersby who could purchase the said beverage from the open doors.

While other places attracted the shopper with hot drinks which were consumed at the vacant tables of bars and restaurants which were closed.

And the Lead Station announced its business with an interesting collection of “things” in its doorway while staff served the “Friends of the Lead” though an open window.

Just what the following weeks will bring is anyone’s guess.  With the infection rate falling in Greater Manchester we may move into Tier Two.

After all we have done our bit ….. but that as ever will be a decision which walks between the "science" and the political considerations of a Government based in London
