A short series on the lost pubs of Salford in pictures, but given the number that we have lost in the last few decades, it may well turn into a long one.
At which point I am not attempting to eclipse that fine site, Pubs of Manchester, Past and Present, which chronicles those that have disappeared.*
But I couldn’t miss an opportunity when Andy sent over a series of then and now former pubs which he has photographed in his travels.
This is the Waverley Hotel ....... just three pictures and a set of memories for those who remember it.

ReplyDeleteThe Waverley in Eccles? Eccles New Road is in Salford but most of it's in Salford. Another mile down the road before you get to Eccles.
