Abandoned on Beech Road

Long before the lockdown, the Parlour shut up shop and has never reopened.

The Parlour, 2020

Marmalade, 2007
It was heir to a long line of cafes and bars, all the way back to Café on The Green.

Before that it was briefly a piano shop, hairdressers and for a time at the very beginning was an ironmonger's.

And for those who want more, here are the two from the bars past, when it traded as Cafe on the Green, Marmalade, and The Nose.

I can say I ate on all its different incarnations, and no, I can't think which I liked the best.

The Nose, circa 1990s
