Celebrating those bits of Chorlton which usually just get ignored.
To which I think some will mutter “so they should” given that one is a grimy telephone box and discarded beer bottle, while the other is someone’s windows.
But where would the fun be if all that was ever recorded focused on picture postcard scenes of where we live?
And they are or soon will be a bit of history which of course is the driving force of the blog. So, soon most telephone kiosks will be just a bit the past when no one had their own personal communicator and we all had to use a telephone located in a box in prominent places.
Added to which this model never attained the same iconic status as the old red ones which remain a trademark of all things British, along with the post box, and the bowler hat.
And that despite what was a more modern look and the advantage that all that glass made it easier to detect Vinny the Vandal going about his destructive activity.
As for the windows, their displays will change over time.
