How we did things in 1975

For no other reason than I have the programme, here is the advert for Dinner at Stanneylands.

The advert was on the back of the programme for the” Palace Theatre Manchester”.

The show was “The Lancashire Laugh – Inn”, with Mr. Bunny Lewis, and special Guest Star, Hylda Baker.

The programme cost 15p and the show lasted the week commencing Monday November 24th, 1975.

Other adverts included  Rene Claro hair stylist of Mayfair, the Ping Hong Restaurant on Mosley Street, RAFTERS (Immediately below FAINS Nite Spot), Olivers Pub Bar at 65 Oxford Street, and The Canadian Charcoal Steak House on Princess Street.

Leaving just the Terrazza, Italian Food At Its Best on Nicholas Street, and advanced notice that Tommy Steel as Hans Anderson was performing in the “Christmas Attraction from December 15th for the Christmas Season.

Location; Manchester

Pictures; programme for the” Palace Theatre Manchester”, 1975, from the collection of Andrew Simpson
