Owen Street ...... the history of a new development

Now whatever you think of the new development at Owen Street off Deansgate Andy Robertson has been there charting the early stages.

July 3, 2016
According to the planning application the proposal is for the “Construction of four residential buildings, ancillary amenity building for residents accommodating a tennis court, swimming pool and gym facilities (Use Class C3), ground floor retail units (Use Classes A1, A2, or A3), amenity space for residents within residential buildings, new public realm and landscaping, basement car parking and related highway, access, servicing, engineering and associated works.”*

And translated into normal speak via the media that will mean a development including a 64 storey building which is just 9 storeys fewer than the Shard.

So here are the images that Andy took from 2016 through to this month.

Just perhaps when the blocks are finished the new residents might well ask Andy for some of his images which they can frame and keep on the wall as a reminder of where it all began.

Its the sort of history I like.

And over the next few months Andy will be there with more pictures
