There may be some who mutter this isn’t really Salford, not the one I remember, and that will be true.
But all places change and reinvent themselves and Mr Muggins in 1760 may well have reflected that the grand Victorian buildings that rose on the streets of Salford weren’t to his taste.

It’s not the Salford I remember but I think it’s 100% improvement on the Salford of Old. Back to back houses,outside loos, poverty. The canal was filthy and the surrounding areas were not very pretty at all. This is one modernisation that I approve of, I usually prefer the old buildings but not the ones here.
